 What I do not understand about Trump is actually what I do not understand about Trump's fans.

How can they abide his incompetence?

Trump inadvertently admits to possession of presidential records while arguing executive privilege

 By asking the court for this special request, Trump all but admits that there are top secret documents that were unlawfully removed from the White House and, therefore, should be in the hands of the National Archives—the entire reason the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) searched Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

Are his fans - and they are more fans than political followers - so divorced from reality that his bombast covers his idiocy?

I have written before how workers at the warehouse do not like Biden. I think it is a style issue. Biden does not thump his chest. He has a stammer. Yes, inflation bugged a lot of people, but I think Biden acted quicker to deal with that issue than Trump did with Covid. This does not get noticed any more than does Biden's standing up to Putin because Biden gets the job done rather than make a lot of noise.
