I am not so keen on true crime nowadays, that interest was decades ago. Yet, I cannot resist a good missing person story, and here is one for Police still haven't given up on 'Nevada's greatest unsolved mystery'.
Well, another rejection arrived:
I am never going to crack this mag. At least, I am interesting...Thank you for giving us the opportunity to read "Chasing Ashes" for consideration in our 2024 First Chapters Contest, guest judged by Kimberly King Parsons. As we can send so few excerpts into the next round, we do have to release interesting work—we're sorry your entry has not advanced.
We're grateful you chose to share your writing with us, and for your support. We wish you good luck with your manuscript and hope you will send us work again.
Sincerely,

Not much done today, I went to work and got back here around 2. I checked out the email before taking a nap. That was two hours. Going through the email gave me material for a political post that will go live tomorrow evening. I did read David B. Hobbs' The Peculiar Legacy of E.E. Cummings from The Nation. I knew little about e.e. cummings and not sure I want to know more now.
Well, it is almost 9 pm, and I am sticking a fork in myself.
