Happily, A Rainy Monday

Work, then to see the attorney about dad's trust. There is news, still a bizarre set f facts. Time has come for a judge to figure out where things are ad how they should be.

Back here, footsore and tired, around 3:30. Dishwashing gives me time to think and meditate. Which is why I spent time, a few hours, reworking the opening and closing of "True Love Ways." I did not mean for it to be read as a coming of age story, this is not The Summer of '42, when it is about abortion and a girl deciding she wanted a girlfriend more than a boyfriend. There is more of a sense of the nihilism I think I knew of back in 1977. KH is reading it now.

I got an email from Charlie G and sent him a reply.

I blew almost all of my remaining cash on a bottle of Coke Zero. I also cancelled my subscription to the Times Literary Supplement.

Thunderstorms were threatening us most of the afternoon - high winds, big puffy clouds tending towards the darker shades - and it came early evening. This morning, more rain is predicted. No way to see if the drought is over.

This morning I read Anu Kandikuppa's A Bed for Kavita from The New England Review.

I dropped on the Untold Dylan blog for Dark Eyes: Jemmy Joe’s new version and a total reassessment. Interesting discussion of Dylan's songwriting, interpreting the same, and a very different interpretation of "Dark Eyes." Interesting stuff here, if you are interested in the subjects.

30 minutes before the bus arrives. Counselor this afternoon. Back to "Love Stinks" tonight. I will probably also see about putting out the "Dead and Dying" collection. I may see CC this afternoon.
