Writing Convincing Characters

Screencraft published The Three Qualities of an Engaging Character. The post uses illustration from three movies which illuminates the three qualities. I think the three qualities applicable to the writing of fiction. These qualities are:

1. Distinction (why they are interesting)
2. Empathy (caring about them)
3. Impetus (why they act)
