Carlos Fuentes 8/2/21

 Another note thanks to the website The Modern Literary Novel. I have read only one Mexican writer, Carlos Fuentes. Come to think of it, I have read only the Big Three of Latin American writers (Fuentes, Mario Vargas Llosa, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez) plus Manuel Puig. The Modern Novel site gives links to other Mexican writers here. 

I read The Old Gringo when I first got to prison. This remains the only novel of Fuentes I have read. The site calls it not quite Fuentes’ best novel and gives a very good summary.
