Friday evening and night was spent writing and researching a bit of law. That lasted about 6 hours. I ended up with me tired and blurry-eyed. Lucky, I went to Payless for some groceries before I got home.
I also have been downloading music from YouTube to RealPlayer. I like music when I write; I do not like Firefox crashing.
The yellow cat reappeared, it is here now and also yesterday.
Yesterday morning was cleaning out email and downloading music and cooking up a variation of my pork and beans.
About 11:30 I decided it was time to go out and about. It was a sunny, warm day. We will not have many more of these.
I walked over to the strip mall north of the mall caught the bus, I had the library books needing returned to Bracken library. My plans changed after I passed Target. I thought to hit Target and CVS last, but I stopped there first. My Zoloft prescription was there, did a little nosing around the store (which charges too much for Coke Zero) until the next bus came for the downtown.
From the downtown, I caught the #1 bus. This was not the bus I meant to take, so I got off down in the village. Habits can kill; habit being what caused the mix-up with the buses. It worked out well enough. I stopped off at Locked Groove Records. I found out the owner had graduated from Anderson High School, and chewed on her ear far too long. A very kind person, a really cool records (I walked out with a CD of Bowie's Young Americans), so if you are ton town, pay her a visit. The above link will give you directions.
(KH just called, my second incoming call of the week, and my fourth phone conversation of the week. We spoke much too long of my writing.)
I walked through the English Building, realized I had missed seeing Prom. Rather nicely changed since my time 40 years ago.
Having some time to catch the bus downtown, I decided to get a new book from Bracken after dropping off my books on Shakespeare and Marlowe. It seems like there is a play that covers some of the territory I wanted to cover. I walked out with Carlos Fuentes' The Death of Artemio Cortez, which I meant to read in prison.
I still needed a few groceries. I also got an idea to see CC. Deciding to cover my bets, I chose the Southway Center bus over Northwest Plaza. Then I called K for her advice - CC or Aldi's. She voted for Aldi's. I followed her suggestion. (See? I can follow advice.) At Aldi's I got my can of tomatoes for my pork and beans and a breast of lamb for later in the week and a couple of cans of cat food.
Back here, I ate and fed the cat and went back to email and downloading music. I also worked on a few blog posts to be published today.
I called my cousin, and we chatted for a bit. I have no idea when I will see him. He is the last of my first cousins.
I made a trip to McClure's for caffeine and nicotine and then kicked off about 11 pm.
This morning I slept in. I woke in the middle of the night, and it was foggy, now it is bright and sunny, and I will spend it here in front of the computer. I will concentrate on this blog. I want to get back to my pretrial detention journal, I want paper moved off my table.
The cat is fed. I made another trip to McClure's.
I am downloading music, too.
Israel still pounds Gaza. Ukraine persists.
The Republicans are still proving they cannot govern, only promote crazy ideas.
