Read enough science fiction and you will have read an info dumps. This is particularly true of series which recycle information from earlier entries. I have not received any great critiques from editors, but one did mention that I had too much background frontloaded.
With this in my mind, I fell upon Writer Digest's Writing Mistakes Writers Make: Info Dumping. The suggestions are action and dialog, with explanations provided in the article. It has given me enough to chew on, so I hope you give a look.
