I knew of Haruki Murakami before I went to prison. It was prison that gave me time to read him. I started with 1Q84. After reading Kafka on the Shore and Commendatore, this feels like the best place to start. You get a beautiful female assassin and alternate worlds for starters.

It contains the term “sex feasts”. That or the ad with a woman modelling an outfit. Probably the former.
