Writing is Linear

My "No Clean Slates" deals a lot with memories and also with the perspectives of some of my characters. I believe - based on what goes through what goes on in my head - that we interact with our past through our memories. Seeing a madelaine trips a circuit bringing the past into the present. Nothing original in what I just wrote - William James - got there first a long time ago.  Ross Lockridge, Jr's Raintree County illustrates this idea. For further support read this article on hypertext ligterature.hypertext literature.

Narrative prose must progress to a climax beçause it records life. Life has a climax which is death.
