The Covid virus just won't go away. The Delta variant has come for the unvaccinated. Those who think their rights are being violated by being vaccinated pay no heed to the welfare of the general public. They call vaccinations government overreach. Such thinking is the thinking of thumbsucking toddlers. What they want is not liberty but license. This is not even anarchy with its hope ofl ifting the powerless. No, the unvaccinated promote a selfish nihilism. They are a pack of lemmings searching for their cliff. Civilization depends on ordered liberty. The unvaccinated have no more right to the community than I have a right to fire a gun into a crowd. Do not confuse this with, say, regulating the size of soft drinks. [And the current analogy to the right of privacy granted pregnant women is the grossest of non sequiturs.] The corona virus represents an imminent death without any choice on the part of its victims whereas drinking one's self into obesity [or becoming pregnant] do not pass along their obesity [or pregnancy] willy-nilly to others. At some point Darwin must kick in.
