William Burroughs 8-12-21

I saw the movie version of Naked Lunch and got a copy of the novel shortly afterwards. I could get nowhere with the book. Fort Dix FCI's leisure library had a copy. I figured I was in prison, I might as well take another run at the novel. I did and it was a chore. I am still not sure what it taught about writing or the novel but it convinced me heroin was a help in writing a novel.

I was surprised to find The Modern Novel site had an entry for Burroughs and for his novel. The site's proprietor seems to share my opinion of the novel. I still prefer the movie.
