So off I got to the jail for my weekly reporting without a state ID.I'm hoping that the usual guy is there, the one who doesn't ask for my ID. I had met with Ms Greenup this morning, giving her the good news of having my birth certificate and she giving me the bad news that the BMV is not open on Mondays.
I get to the jail and for the first since I started this odyssey there is a line and along wait. When I do get inside, there is a new officer handling the paperwork. Worse - my prison ID is gone. Either I left it by accident back in the halfway house or I lost it at the post office. He lets me register. I get myself back to the halfway house.
