Muncie - Local Government In Action

There will be a "No King's Day" demonstration today. I plan on being there.

Here's where 'No Kings' protests are happening around Indiana today (NewsBreak)

(No Anderson demonstrations? No Evansville? Strange.)

Meanwhile, let me give you (thanks to YouTube) part of the local government in action:  City of Muncie

Finally, Trump-voting Indiana is finding out what a lack of immigration means for the tax base: Indiana cities now offering movers incentives to help curb population decline (NewsBreak).

In Muncie, applicants must work remote jobs. They have to provide proof of employment and income of at least $50,000 per year. Muncie also offers a $5,000 cash incentive. The mover receives half of the stipend when they move and the other half after a year of living in the area. There are also non-cash incentives working with Ball State University and other local organizations.

Muncie is also launching a pilot program with MakeMyMove to promote movers specifically looking for employment in Muncie.

Why aren't more Indiana cities looking at this kind of program? Why did we vote for Trump?
