The PO came by Tuesday with his usual questions about relationships and health and personal activities. Same answers as always. My mental health is good. Even with my current health problems, they are not like they were. Relationships? Plenty, but not the sort that the government has its interest in. I feel far less isolated than I did, even while I get to enjoy my solitude. He has never understood that when I stop writing, my mental health is going down, again.
But the most persistent question in the 10 minutes he was here had to do with the group therapy. I really do not see it as "therapy". That is, there is no diagnosis for me, no benchmarks for treatment; just lectures on better thinking. Since I think I found that better thinking long ago, far away, and on my own (with the help of some friends, all of which get mentioned on this blog, and the Orthodox Church), all I am learning is jargon. It is hard to say to my PO this "therapy" is only another way someone has found to rake in government money.
I did get some writing done. Also, I watched Stand Up Guys on Tubi; it is worth watching just to see Pacino, Alan Arkin, and Walken working together.
After watching The Gangster, The Cop, and The Devil, I have been watching Korean movies. The second was Unstoppable. Doing Ashfall, now.
Yesterday, I came home full of ambition and aching feet. The feet won.
However, when I got back up, I went to work on Google Ads. I gave it up before because I never understood what was the problem - their messages go past cryptic. And their instructions are not much better. I kept at it. Whether I succeeded is a different story.
Yes, I am trying to get advertising on the blog. Between Social Security docking me close to $300 and renting the car earlier this month and fewer hours at work, I have used up my savings, and it is getting tough to replenish funds. It is a necessity to raise more funds.
Some items I put into a draft of this post from earlier in the week.
Wilder calls himself progressive country; I think of him as neo-rockabilly. Check out his website, Webb Wilder. He has new material and it is sounding pretty good.
I'm not sure why, but I never have this problem when I'm riding the Muncie bus:
