Welcome To The Working Week

I overslept and got to work late. Always the best way to start the week.

Then we pushed through another meal when I thought we might get done early, and I would have time to run errands before my counseling appointment. I got out too late for the #2, so I took a chance on getting the #12 at 8th and Batavia. I just made that bus. This gave me time to get to Payless (I decided against buying what I needed at home but got two donuts), and then to Staples for printer ink. The bud downtown was in sync with the bus I needed for the counselor, and so I went to CVS for a prescription they texted me about. The line was too long for the time I had before the appointment, so I grabbed a Coke at Speedway and walked to the appointment. There I learned my counselor is being replaced. I am a little unclear why, but I guess Wyckoff is reshuffling his work. That caused me a little anxiety that remains at 5 AM this morning. However, this gave me time to Dollar General for a few supplies and CVS for my prescription. I did miss the #1 bus back downtown. I decided to walk down and catch the #2. That was the one I wanted, it would get me directly home.

When I got here, it was to fix dinner and do some reading, and I started Queen's Gambit on Netflix. I got a surprise out of that show. First, it was as good as I had read. I am a terrible chess player, for all the game fascinates me. Second, I got a kick in the head when I tracked won the novelist who wrote the novel on which it is based. Walter Tevis also wrote both The Hustler and The Man Who Fell To Earth. As I wrote KH last night, WTF?

I managed to revise, again, Kemp.

Today, I must take care of business. Phone calls. Bills. I am beginning to wonder if my plan to remove stress from my life is not a variation of my old procrastination problem.
