Christmas Eve Night and Christmas Morning.

I finally got my laundry done - it might have been sooner if I had recalled earlier that the buses were not running on Saturday's schedule.

When I got back here, I called John to check on CC. He was sleeping. I said I would come by on Thursday. No report on her. No calls from her. That she has not called started bothering me.

After napping, I spent most of the afternoon and evening revising my short play, "Desperate Men Committing Desperate Acts". The formatting and reformatting took a lot of time. Even then, I am not sure if I got it right. I did a little submitting also:

We went to St. George's for its Christmas service. It was to start at 8, but we wanted to come in after the Orthos started. MW met us in Muncie. The Orthos had already started when we arrived. It was long. As I told my ride later, we cannot do this again next year. We are just getting too old to be leaving the church at 11:27. MW seemed to like the liturgy, but she was tired. After she left for home, my ride and I had our first meat meal at Anderson's Waffle House. First time, I have eaten there in maybe 2 decades, maybe a little longer. Hard to imagine that place is that old. No sign of anyone I knew who had worked there back in the day. Of course, Joni is now dead 9 years. Their menu is much reduced from the days when Joni, and Julie, Cindy Frye worked there. I felt happier leaving.

I checked the email when I got home, ate some ice cream, and called it a night. I decided to leave off the alarm, to just rise when I felt like rising.

That rising turned out to be a little after 9 AM. This morning, I sent "Desperate Men Committing Desperate Acts" to:

I ate my lunch, watched a little of Netflix's The Decameron, started writing up this post, and when Microsoft Edge locked up, I napped for 2 hours.

Phone calls and cleaning are how I intend to occupy myself for the next little while,
