Writing Stuff: Characters

 Even if I cannot get any further with "Love Stinks" I keep reading about writing.

I read 7 Tips to Craft Compelling Character Motivation in Fiction from K.M. Weiland, checking off what I am doing with "Love Stinks". I think I am hitting the marks. The real question is how well I do it, right? KH says the opening of the novel is confusing. He does not like the lead female character. My only defense is I am hip-deep in trying to get the manuscript reorganized. Which I am not doing right now.

How well I pull this off with my short stories is an open question. The Irish short story by Anne Enright has me thinking about the form itself. Executing those ideas may take a while longer.

Work, must get some work done. No television at the new place. Maybe that will help.
