Chilled, Another Muncie Liturgy - Life in Muncie

Okay, I have not keep reporting for my supervised release posts.

Last night, I got home close to 5 pm. All I did was get off work around 1:45, caught the #2 west, made a stop at Friendly Convenience on Jackson St (Coke Zero and smokes), reboarded the #2 for the ride downtown, caught the #17 down to the courthouse (I rode ion their new bus and found out it was a hybrid; at stops the engine switches to electric power), spent an hour and a half at the courthouse reading Carlos Fuentes's The Death of Artemio Cruz (brilliant!), and then got lucky to get the #5 at 4:27. Then I spent the evening polishing "The Dead and the Dying" and downloading music. Around 9, I tripped down to McClure's for cat food and soda. I was asleep before 10:30.

I sent my last pay stub to my PO yesterday. No sign of him, no response to last week's question about him sending my polygraph results to my counselor. He always seems nonplussed at my not having questions for him. Why ask questions when he has no answers?

Tuesday night, I went to the liturgy at Ball State. That was at 6. On the way back, my ride and i stopped at Aldi's. I fed the cat. I sent to sleep. Which sounds far less stirring than I came, I saw, I conquered. Oh, well. It is Muncie, and I am old.

I noticed yesterday I had not called anyone in 4 days. That was when I called KH to see how his big presentation went.

CC has been on my mind. She is like a ghost, not a real person. She might as well be Joni. Whatever duties I might have are not enough for me to re-open relations. She is a name, an idea, and otherwise irrelevant.

It has been cold, I have not been able to get warm. Laundry needs to be done. MW does not feel up to traveling to Indianapolis on Saturday. I want to see a movie. I have not added to "Love Stinks", or to this blog. Most importantly, I now need to get dressed and feed the cat and go to work.

One thing read today: Beyond Poor Things: An Ode to Alasdair Gray’s Lesser-Known, Equally Deserving Books.
