[I am back working through my prison journal. It is out of order. The date in the title is the date it was written.Well, the order is as I have opened boxes. I hope this is not confusing. What you are reading is what you get for your tax dollars. sch 4/23/2025]
A correctional officer didn't show up yesterday. The computer says make up will be Friday. All of the lower three units brought their laundry only to find out today, not Friday, will be laundry day for the upper three units. No announcement over the PA system - only by inmate word of mouth did we know today was our laundry day. No idea what happens on Friday. I'm betting no laundry on Friday - so the BOP will avoid paying holiday pay. Your tax dollars at work.

[4/23/2025: here is a problem with doing this out of order. I do believe that I chronicled the switchover from having washing machines in the different unit buildings to a central laundry. It left us dependent on the central laundry for our clean clothes - unless we did our laundry in the showers. Several people did just that. Your tax dollars at work, indeed. sch]
