I ended the night watching The Darkest Hour. Gary Oldman was great - even wearing a fat suit. I did not mean to watch the whole thing, but Oldman kept me glued to the screen. Which is odd since he did not sound so much like Churchill, and in the close-ups I saw Oldman. It is also the story that resounds even unto today - plain Churchill up against Hitler; the beleaguered island against the successful German war machine.

Kickstarter for Heavy Metal Magazine #1. I loved Heavy Metal when I was a teenager. I used to sneak into the bookstore downtown Anderson to read it. Mind-blowing. Especially for me, who has trouble drawing stick images. It was an import from France. The two movies never quite caught the weirdness of the magazine - they seem now too American. The movie that did capture its weirdness was The Fifth Element. Which was directed by Luc Bresson. Give it a chance again, please. Oh, the magazine's new web page is here.Thank you for sending us "Problem Solving." We’re sorry this submission wasn’t right for us, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to consider it and wish you the best of luck in placing it elsewhere.
Sincerely,
