For those who dod not know: Oliver P. Morton was Indiana's Governor during the Civil War. He has a statue on the east side of the State House.
Also for those who do not know, The Capital Chronicle published Holcomb declares solidarity with Texas border strategy:
Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb on Thursday released a joint statement with 24 other Republican governors in solidarity with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and his state’s border policies.

They argued that states have a right to self-defense under the U.S. Constitution.
Morton might come asking questions of since when the Republican Party supported seccession.
If it were me, I would say it was just a bunch of grandstanding politicians who have no more connection with their party's history than I do with my father's ancestral home of Switzerland. Then I would run. Morton looks like he was a big man, and if, I recollect correctly, he had no use for your sort of American.
