More Rejections; Nothing Written; It was That Kind of a Night

Even though I got off early - around 1:19 - I still did not make it back here until 2 pm. I walked downtown to the bus station, about 20 minutes. It had stopped drizzling rain. Once here, I ate, worked on dinner, and napped until around 4. Then off to McClure's. Dinner after I got back here, and onto the computer. Worked the email, a little. Downloaded music, a little, Started hunting for publishers. Several crashes of Chrome later, I finished.

The cat showed back up around an hour ago. Its paw is still injured, it was not wet, and I have no idea where it has been. I would take it to a vet, if I had a car.

The rejections came in the past few days; the first from Narrative

Thank you for sending your work to Narrative. We are always grateful for the opportunity to review new work, and we have given "Road Tripping" close attention and careful consideration. We regret, however, that "Road Tripping" does not meet our needs at this time. We hope that you will keep us in mind in the future.

Sincerely,

Then this one:

Thank you for sending us "Their Bright Future." After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that your submission has not been selected for publication. While this work isn't a fit for us, we wish you the best in placing it elsewhere.
