I tonly took three and a half hours to get home tonight. The weather as nice, so I walked down to the sheriff's. Then I had to wait around 35 minutes for the bus. However, I had already intended to get to the grocery, so off I was to Payless around 4:17. It was good to get back here.
I tried getting through the email. Twenty messages remain. It was just too much.
There was work on "Road Tripping", too. About two hours worth - I started after eating and doing dishes and taking a shower. I went back over the additions of last night with the result of more changes. There is one idea I want to push to the last section. I wanted to bore down a bit more on the pain of examining one's life, including intellectual prejudices. I hope it works.
I talked to KH today, but that is really my only contact with the outside world.
Since Dylan is so important to "Road Tripping", I had to detour and read How Bob Dylan Blurred the Boundaries Between Literature and Popular Music. Not such a great headline. It is more about being able to see Dylan creating songs.
I have admired Cat Power for some time (like about 18 or more years), and did not know until last night about this:
Not the acid of the original, not the funkiness of Hendrix, but something more soulful.
