Problems Turning The Midwest Silicon

The Guardian presents some of the bumps in changing, improving, the Midwest's economy in US tech investment sparks dreams of Rust Belt economic revival – but results are uneven. Looking at the article from Muncie, Indiana has me wondering why Indiana does not appear in the article? Okay, that is a bit disingenuous of me, there are other states in the area unmentioned. Besides, I see Indiana when I read the following:

“The challenge is going to be that these are regions that don’t have an accumulation of the things you need, whether that’s workforce or managerial skills or supplier ecosystems that would be required,” Goger said. “But you’ve got to start somewhere.

“It may take five years to reach a cohesion at a regional level. That worries me because there is a lot of money to get out real quick.”

I guess that is what happens when we let Republicans run this state as long as we have. They no more look to the future than hogs laying in a mud bath.
