The Rest of Saturday

It is 2:24. I have finished a long post on writing. No more RC. I do not want to go grocery shopping, but I will go down to McClure's. Come back and get a shower. Do some more writing when I get here.

Working on cleaning out Google Keep; it has been acting strangely.

From Aeon Essays' On freedom and the limits of agency: the philosophy of Fichte, an idea I should ahve posted earlier and think is worth thinking about:
"The summons and social recognition, he argued, shape our cognitive and practical capacities. It is in virtue of them that we become free rational beings, the kind of creatures capable of respecting social and political rights, of acting morally, capable of taking on a vocation to shape the world for the sake of the freedom of each. ‘Act! Act!’ Fichte proclaims, ‘that is what we are here for … isn’t our greater perfection precisely this calling we have received to work for the improvement of others.’"
And now to close Saturday night, it is 10:22

I am almost finished cleaning out my notes from Google Keep and transferring them to blog posts. So far, I have posts scheduled out to May 23.

One more draft exists, that will get me out to May 24. I may not be posting much the next month, try to get the pretrial detention journal caught up. There is a very large amount of paper here that needs dealt with.

This is a little break, checking out the news.

Jack Nicholson returns to courtside for Lakers’ playoff game - for some reason, it is reassuring to see Jack alive.

This Indiana restaurant ranked among Yelp’s Top 100 of 2023 I know I have been gone, and my life is not about dining out but food banks, but I have not heard of this restaurant.

Welcome to Vida. From the moment you step inside, to the time you bid us farewell, you’ll enjoy every facet of your Vida dining experience. And isn’t that what you’d expect from one of a very few Indianapolis restaurants to earn AAA’s coveted Four Diamond award?

Downtown Indy.

Political news from Anderson: Democrats express differing views of Anderson and Primary contest for city council seats is crucial. Drugs and crime and economic development. Things do not look good. I knew only three of the politicians. Another reminder of how long I have been gone.

I recreated the mailer for the play - if I am right with my second guessing and the thing will be on Draft2Digital, even if nowhere else.

I really like my new CPAP mask, and the steroid shock seems to have done my arm some good.
