What Muncie Has - Private Help

From the Muncie Business Journal George and Frances Ball Foundation First Quarter Grants

More than $365,000 was awarded to ten community organizations by the George and Frances Ball Foundation. On February 24th, members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors met to review and make funding decisions for first quarter requests.

Many of the funded efforts will build the capacity and fuel strategic, collective action of Cradle to Career Muncie, a community-wide and equity-centered educational attainment initiative driven by more than 40 community organizations and facilitated by the George and Frances Ball Foundation’s staff. Cradle to Career Muncie brings together stakeholders to evaluate data, set goals, identify and implement strategies, and build stronger alignment and relationships. These stakeholders are convened around academic topics ranging from kindergarten readiness to meaningful career employment, as well as supportive topics such as family and community engagement and health.

There are further details on programs receiving money. How many other Indiana cities have this sort of resource. I think not many.
