From The Washington Post: 20 years later, U.S. invasion of Iraq hangs over war in Ukraine.

How many were condemned as being anti-American when they argued against the United States going into Iraq? I wonder what those hurling those insults would say now. I picked up a phrase from Gore Vidal decades ago, one that we tossed around as an insult when we were kids, and which remains an insult, but Vidal gave the word a new twist for me. That word is sissy. Those who worry too much about their manhood are sissies.  Maybe if George W. Bush, and then the whole country, had been sissies, they would have not jumped into the mess that became, and is, Iraq.
