I was too tired last night to add to the record. Here is why.
Tuesday night I was up every two hours, mostly thanks to the hip.
About 2:20 am, I also checked to see if my Social Security check had arrived. It had.
I had promised the landlord payment of last week's balance yesterday. What I was not sure was when the check would be available. Having already told work I would be late, I was up a little after 5 and kept waiting for the bank to give me my money.
I went through the email, and did some reading.
Read from The Guardian:
- The best movies of 2022 … you may not have seen
- Extremely hardcore discourse: the words of the year that slipped under the radar
- France review – TV presenter Léa Seydoux is mesmeric in intriguing media satire
- The mission to return jaguars to the US: ‘We aren’t right without them’
From the Muncie Journal: JUMP Program Receives $60,000 Ball Brothers Foundation Grant to Bolster Community Partnership
Roger L. Simon Moses Wine Series
From Yahoo News: Bill forcing feds to fix prison cameras is signed into law.
From Another Chicago Magazine: “Self-Portrait in Colors” by Alejandra Pena.
Interesting Literature published 10 of the Best Kate Chopin Stories Everyone Should Read.
I also started working on "True Love Ways Gone Astray."
When the money did not clear by 9, I set out for work. Everything went well until I was almost to the bus station. The night before I had received mail from FSSA. One was paperwork for By Hand and Fork. As I got close to the bus station, I recalled that last year I screwed up thinking the FSSA had sent this paperwork directly to the employer. Back to the room. I killed some time writing. I also managed to miss two buses downtown. I was back on the road around 11:30. I then went to the restaurant. They were happy to see. Surprised by the beard, offered me lunch. I really miss the place. But I was back on the bus downtown and then to work. I walked over to work from Cowan Road. It was a little after 1 pm when I finally got to work. I stayed there until 3:30.
After doing my weekly visit to the Sheriff's, I went on a wild goose chase to check on CC. No sign of her car, so I started walking up Madison Avenue. I caught the bus around 5:30 back to the station, and then back to the room.
I ate dinner. I slaughtered email. I wrote a little more on my novel. I gave up around 9:30.
That was when I noticed a message from CC. I called her back. We have a date on Friday.
Now I need to fix my lunch and get dressed, and I am in a rush again.
Have a great day.
