Writing: What Point of View?

 Sophie Stein arrays a series of novels in 12 Books That Break the Rules of Point of View. I admit not having read sny of them. So I have another reading list. When I started trying to fill in the holes of my education about creative writing, I noticed the point of view was important to character. Empathy can be possible for unpleasant characters depending on the POV. Imagine Lolita not told by Humbert Humbert. It is Humbert's first person narrative that makes possible what Nabokov did in his novel.
