Another brilliant review of Hurston's novel, Their Eyes Were Watching God: The Case for Zora Neale Hurston’s Forgotten Classic by Sofia Hegstrom. I think she makes a point about the protagonist coming to love herself I have not seen before and seems very Hurston.
