Writing: Fixing Self-Publishing Problems

A short post here because 5 Tell-Tale Signs of an Amateur Self-Published Book over at Anne R. Allen's Blog... with Ruth Harris is too much of one piece, too detailed of what needs to be avoided in self-publishing for excerpting to be anything but a distortion. Do pay attention to the entry on book covers - we noticed this at Fort Dix. A book that does not look good - whether outside or in - is one that will not have readers. Such has been my experience as a reader.
