Writing: Submission Tips

I have one story in digital form. That one has been submitted to several publications through Submittable. This was a wholly new experience for me. Which is why I read Tips for Submitting Your Creative Writing and Getting Published with definite interest. Along with the 10 listed tips there was also this advice:

If you approach the submission process strategically and professionally, you’ll increase the chances that your work will be accepted and published. ..
