Mother Jones reports that the disinformation problem does not drive social problems but that our social problems drive disinformation. Makes sense to me. Unless we address our problems of economic and racial inequality, the problems of disinformation will continue until our democracy dies. For that must be the goal of those who would mislead the citizenry - for they cannot maintain their power in an honest, democratic way. Time to face up to this country's problems in an honest, forthright way - just as you expect felonious me to face up to my wrong-doing and change my ways.
