Last night before going to sleep I decided to check the local news. There was the headline announcing the death of Governor Davis: Muncie musician Governor Davis dies of COVID-19
I saw Governor Davis for the first time in 1983 at the long-defunct, long disappeared Office Lounge in Muncie. He was a dynamic presence in a small room. He loved the music, and he made you love it, too. When I saw the movie Crossroads, he was there. I last saw him at a Muncie Barbeque Fest. God rest his soul.
