I walked to work yesterday. It was cold, but the cold feet kept my back pain balanced. We got off a little early from work, which was good as I had a little tiff with a co-worker. Off I went to get the car that I had rented, which was when my day got crazier. I overestimated my bank balance - which left me $24 short of what I needed for the night's polygraph exam. The first thing I did was cancel dinner with my nephew. Then I sent out requests to borrow money. Oh, the snow increased. Then I hit the road, going to Anderson first. I had hopes MW might bail me out. No luck there. Even running through Anderson, I noticed a few things - a lot of vape shops, Ray Nuce's place is gone at 38th and Main, the sushi place in the old Penguin Point. No word from MW, I headed for Indy to find DM. This is around 4:30. I got to him on the southwest side of Indianapolis around 5:45. Between Anderson and DM, I had the execrable joys of Indianapolis drivers. I am not sure whether to say the current driving skills I saw are a sign of the End Times or a lack of education or a degeneration of the population. People riding their brakes, mysterious slowdowns, people driving the wrong speeds for their lanes, people sticking to lanes when they are driving slower than the traffic behind them, or speeding up to a stalled lane of traffic. From DM to Carmel for the polygraph, I saw two people driving without their headlights as twilight made a quick exit. Why was someone driving in the middle lane with their flashers on? I passed the polygraph, of course. That I did so with all the adrenaline coursing through me is a surprise. It was a 3-hour reminder of why I do not own a car - driving is one stressor I no longer want.
I came back here to eat for the first time since 10 AM, and mucked a bit with the email and blog posts.
Another rejection was received for "Problem Solving".

Sincerely,
Oh, yeah, the garbage disposal got fixed. I have two sinks for the first time in two months.
Today is the coldest day, so far. I am very glad not to be walking. Not that I would. Money is one thing and frostbite is another.
I will get the car back ASAP. The deposit stripped my bank account, then it is off to see the doctor at 6:30.
