I saw the doctor yesterday. I was rather keyed up - thinking it was a colonoscopy in the works. No, it was an appointment to get an appointment for a colonoscopy. I asked CC to pick me up. Well, no colonoscopy, no need for her to pick me up. Only I had fixed a pork loin with sauerkraut for her. She came over around 8 for dinner. She liked what I ooked, and I have to say I liked it too. Usually, I will not eat sauerkraut. Longtime chatting, spending energy to keep her from trying to tidy up the apartment, but she did get my overhead fan working. She left after ten-thirty.
I have to get ready for work. Then back here to revising "Road Tripping". Only a few revisions done last night.
Quote for the day, from Joy Williams on the Wild, Lyrical Stories of Brad Watson
William Gass has noted that every real book is a mind, an imagination, a consciousness. The reader reading “dreams the dream of the deserving page.”
