I got back around 4:30. Including going to the sheriff's, it took two and a half hours. I got annoyed thinking I would not be home until five and who knew when I would have dinner.
Next week: have the slow cooker working while I am doing my running.
I worked on “Road Tripping” until 8:30. Then I walked down to McClure's. Yes, like I need more caffeine.
Then I started this post. It will be shorter than I want, but I need to shower and call it a day. Tomorrow, a polygraph.
Two rejections arrived in my email.
Thank you for sending us "True Love Ways Gone Astray." We appreciate the chance to consider your work. Unfortunately, it does not fit our needs at this time.
We wish you the best of luck in placing it elsewhere.
Sincerely,

Not the first rejection from that source. I may need to rethink where I am sending stuff.
I do not have high hopes for "The Sloe Gin Effect" and here is more proof:
While we are grateful for the opportunity to read this piece and appreciate your interest in our journal, it is not a good fit for us at this time.
We wish you the best in finding a home for your work and invite you to submit again in the future.
Sincerely,
