If I Had Been Tied To The Mast -

At least, I would have heard the sirens sing.

I got off work about 1:40. I just missed the #2. Walked down Batavia to catch the #12, missed that. Walked down to Memorial thinking I'd catch either the #17 or the #12, then I walked east on Memorial to Port. The #17 went by. I had that as a back-up. Then along came the #12. Which got me downtown in time to miss the #5 home. However, the Mall bus was late and I caught that. I walked from Maurice's back here. Arrived about 3:15.

And in tribute to my odyssey:

I snacked and then showered. Then I started writing. Finished "120 MPH Down A Blind Alley" a little before 8 PM. I cut it drastically from the last prison version. What I finished on 11/14/14 was 25 typewritten pages. The current version is about 7. Call it a therapy story. It is as close as I can come to writing how it felt to be depressed. It misses that mark by a country mile, but that is as close as I can come. It is probably a better told story if also grimmer (which it was before 11/14/14). Total word count is 2800; 1392 written in the past 3 hours.

Now, I have a headache. Done writing and being online, off to read a book.
