I ran across the literary journal Archetype, considered sending it one of my stories, and then decided against it. Reading its "About" page led me to think I have not anything that might interest them:
Archetype is our attempt to make meaning out of life and its symbols, and to unite through one of the best ways we know how—art.
Our hope is that the work at the heart of this journal kindles that “light in the darkness of mere being” and illuminates the unique and varied range of human existence.
Not sure that there is much light in what I have been writing. After all, Joel C said I was creating Indiana noir.
However, the journal has a page, On Writing Fiction and Good Storytelling, that I think has good advice told succinctly.
Now, to work on getting the job done right.
