I slept something like 10 hours. Now I need to get ready for work. What a life.
I forgot to take my morning meds, so maybe that played a part. I was so tired by the time I got downtown, I almost forgot to go to the sheriff. I had only walked over to Batavia and White River Boulevard, but I was footsore and only wanted to get home.
So, I caught the #12 and walked over from Memorial to the jail. There I waited for the 4 pm #17.
By the time I got here, it was 5 pm. I got off work at 2 pm.
I looked at the email, I ate dinner, I showered, and then I gave up, That a little after 7.
Hopefully, today will be more productive.
Two bits of news. The Marshall Project did not hire me. Surprise, surprise. I also got a rejection:
Thank you for submitting "True Love Ways Gone Astray" to The Malahat Review.
We have decided not to accept your work for publication at this time. We receive many more submissions than we can possibly publish and too many, unfortunately, to be able to offer editorial comments on those we don't select for publication.
We are sorry that we are not replying to you with better news, but thank you for thinking of the magazine as a good home for your writing. We wish you success in placing this work elsewhere.
Maybe today will be more like this:
