I know I am getting old, even if I cannot tell exactly how old I am. For some reason, I did not think of Martin Amis as older than me, certainly not old. That he was 73 is a shock only exceeded by his death.
Martin Amis, era-defining British novelist, dies aged 73
He was a writer I knew of more from interviews and reviews than his novels. I never got my hands on any of his novels until prison. There I read Night Train. The obit pairs him with Salman Rushdie - British, roughly the same - when I think of them as different as having a different style.
Maybe I can find time for his Money.
