Yesterday, I got up early and worked on my pretrial detention posts. I kept putting off catching the bus to the sheriff's. Around 9, I went down to McClure's for smokes. I left the room for the sheriff's at 10:50 and did not get back until almost 3:30. The sheriff has my new job information. I tried reading Aristotle while out at the Justice Center, but I was feeling sleepy. KH and I talked while I waited for the bus back from the sheriff's. CC and I texted. I tried calling the attorney about dad's trust at 4 and 4:30. By then I was working on ”Road Tripping.”
I do not know what it is, but I feel like I am in a slug fest with Joe Frazier with this story. I gave up around 8, watched TV for an hour, and then gave up consciousness a little after 9. Funny thing is I woke up thinking it was going on 4 am. Except it as 11 PM. Now it is 5:33 AM and I about to start again on my story.
This morning's email brought a rejection for “Best of Intentions”:
Thank you for your submission to Long River Review. Although we must decline your submission this time, we appreciated the chance to consider it.
Thanks again. Best of luck with this.
Sincerely,
Cameron Deslaurier

And yesterday came this:
Thank you so much for your submission to Ink and Marrow. We admire your vulnerability in putting yourself and your work into the world. Unfortunately, we will be declining the story you sent but we absolutely encourage you to try us again when we open for submissions in the future.
Write on!The editors at Ink and Marrow
Except, I cannot recall what story I sent – “Best of Intentions” or “True Love Ways Gone Astray”!
I may leave for the grocery. I may not. All I know is that I am getting back on the road.
