Robbie Coltrane Des

 I saw the link to the BBC's obituary of Robbie Coltrane, and I knew this was not going to be a good day. Much was made of Coltrane as Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies. Coltrane was one of the four reasons I went to those movies (the others being Richard Harris, Maggie Smith, and Alan Rickman). What caused me to follow Coltrane was having seen him in Cracker. No American TV show ever did what Cracker did; no American actor will ever do what Coltrane did with that role. What I glean from the obit is that he was just as complicated, just as human as his characters.
