And He Slept

I thought Thursday went well. I fixed the cpap mask so it would function. I went to sleep late.

Then I overslept. Then I started coughing. I finally called in sick around eleven. I slept away the afternoon. I managed a call about the new cpap mask. It is on its way.

Waking up I got through email and read a little about Nietzsche. I listened to WPRB and got a couple of posts written before I gave up on staying conscious.

I got up early this morning.  I read a few things online including Old not Other about Simone de Beauvoir's Old Age (1970) and wrote a post about it. I wrote some emails. I read what I am not to eat between now and my colonoscopy.

I walked over to the bus stop.

I picked up groceries at the Dollar General and caught my buses home. I killed time at The Barking Cow with an ice cream cone I ought not have bought.

Back at the room, I took a nap. Then I ate, read, and let the time go by. I am listening to WMBR's Backwoods show.

Nephew #2 told my sister he thinks I need to apologize. I asked my sister to give him my email. So far he has written nothing. I suspect he will never write or speak to me about this apology. It was something he said to mollify his aunt.

"Death and a Kiss" has now 811 reads.

I still need to figure out how to get my laptop and to revise my story.
