Split Lip Magazine

 I found Split Lip Magazine when I decided to google Michael Martone (the best Indiana writer of short stories you have never heard of). That he published there made me curious.

The magazine describes itself thus:

We’re a literary journal that’s totally bonkers-in-love with voice-driven writing, pop culture, and the kind of honesty that gets you right in the kidneys.

We love stories and poetry and art because they’re our insides turned out for everyone to see: the darkness and the confetti in equal measure.

It has a Mission Statement here. 

I read one story and that was Tim Raymond's THE ONE WHERE I DATE ROSS. That was a gut punch - very good.
