Mostly writing and being ill these past few days. Today, the dentist, insurance agent, and grocery shopping. It would be good to do Muncie's First Thursday and Vespers. I have been too obsessed with my novella to expect I can accomplish anything.
A book I am tempted to buy: Literary Voyagers a book by Andrew Wittkop (Bookshop.org US).
Broad Ripple Review | Substack - still hoping to publish here.
A rejection received today that was not quite a surprise as I sent the wrong story:
Thank you for submitting "The First Day of Feeling Free" to Fusion Fragment. Unfortunately, I've decided not to accept it for publication. Best of luck in finding a home for it!

Thank you for sending us "The First Day of Feeling Free." We appreciate the chance to read it. Unfortunately, this piece isn't the right fit for us. If you wish to submit again, please wait until one month has passed.
Thanks again for submitting, Samuel, and we wish you the best in finding a home for this elsewhere.

Thank you very much for submitting Plain Tales From The Flatlands to our open reading period. We were blown away by the many remarkable manuscripts that came across our desks, but we can only accept a few titles for publication each year. You make our jobs hard. We appreciate you.
I'm sorry to let you know that we have decided not to publish your manuscript. However, we very much appreciate you considering Black Lawrence Press as a potential publisher for your work.
Open reading period manuscripts are read and responses are sent on a rolling basis. You will find announcements of our selected open reading period manuscripts on the Black Lawrence website during the coming months.
We wish you the best in your search for the right home for your book. As you continue that search, we hope that one or more of the following resources will be of use:
