Tuesday Moves On

Long day at work, but maybe it is only I am getting old. I am getting tired during our lunch break.

The cold, foggy morning turned to sunshine by the end of the day.

After work, I made it down to the convenience store and then back here. I think things were actually accomplished: setting up a Pacer account, paying Xfinity, having no appetite and so fixed no dinner, I drafted a letter for Dad's case, texted my sister and MW, and finished Queen's Gambit. I really liked Queen's Gambit.

Clearing out the email - far less than what I had in 2009, but more than I need right now.

Oh, yeah, I called Middletown about the garbage disposal.

On the whole, it feels like I have things in order.

I did get another rejection for "Problem Solving":

Thank you once again for submitting your work to Penstricken.

I’m sorry to say we have decided not to include your submission in our upcoming issue. That’s not to say that we didn’t enjoy reading your work and it is certainly not a reflection of your skill as a writer. Unfortunately, we have received such a large number of submissions that we have been forced to decline a lot of really good work.

Thanks once again for trusting us with your work. I do hope that you will consider submitting to Penstricken again in future.

Kind regards,

Andrew Ferguson

I have Stranger Things playing in the background, and it is not really working for me. I forget how little there was of Winona.

And that brings you up to 6:58 on my 10th day of December 2024.

Here is a way to spend a day: Spending a Day with Philoctetes: Dio Judges the Great Tragedians by Carey Jobe (Antigone).

I will close out the day revising "Kemp".
