Alasdair Gray Videos!

I credit Alasdair Gray for making me take Indiana seriously as a place to put my stories. It is from here that I am. Tonight, I ran across Poor Things & Alasdair Gray's Legacy on YouTube.

Does our Indiana culture make you cringe? Do you think it is insignificant? Give the documentary a watching and see if you think there is not someone here who can be our Alasdair Gray.

There will be no culture unless we make it.

Another documentary, this time with the man himself appearing:

The man also appears in the following, explaining his adaptation of a Robert Louis Stevenson story for the BBC. The finished product is intercut with Gray's comments.

The SYMBOLISM, MEANING, and BEAUTY of Poor Things Explained | Non-Spoiler Analysis deals with the movie, but the narrator has read the novel. It is kind of Alasdair Gray.

Should not Americans take note of a writer trying to make democratic art?
