Indiana's Abortion Law and Newton's Third Law

Indiana passes a new restrictive abortion law.

Newton's Third Law:  If two bodies exert forces on each other, these forces have the same magnitude but opposite directions.

The reaction: Their mentor was attacked. Now young OB-GYNs may leave Indiana:

Indiana, like many Republican-led states, has a shortage of providers. A 2018 report from the March of Dimes found 27% of Indiana counties are considered maternal care deserts, with no or limited access to maternity care. The state has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the country.

Scott said new laws restricting abortion will only make these statistics worse.

This is how it goes. Why is anyone surprised?

More reaction from The Muncie Star-Press: 'Some of us may not get reelected': Indiana's abortion ban could impact November election:

Experts say the bill banning all abortions, except in cases of rape and incest up to 10 weeks, and to prevent serious risk to life and health of the mother, could impact some competitive November general election Statehouse races, propelling angry abortion-rights-minded Hoosiers to turn out to vote. No one is predicting an end to Republican's supermajority in both the Senate and House, but in a midterm election where Democrats were all but certain to have a tough election year in a state where they already hold few offices, Senate Bill 1 could help their chances in Indiana.

We will have to see, won't we?
