How Writing is Like Fishing

 Even if you do not fish this article. Two things I enjoyed 40 years ago and did not do enough in the four decades since were fishing and writing. I should have kept at both. My life might have been more productive. I would add two things about fishing that right now I see as relevant to writing: how fishing requires patience and persistence.

(Ps:  I read somewhere fishing has more books as their subject than any other sport.)
